It’s only natural to reflect on the past and plan for the future at the dawn of a new year. Chances are you’ve already planned some big goals for 2020 in your organization — I know I have.
2019 was a great year at iWitness Design. We got to work with some amazing new and existing clients, expanded our skillset, and even had our best year of revenue since inception. I’m certainly proud of all those things, but the thing that I’m most proud of are the things we helped our clients achieve.
We helped a growing SaaS application reduce server response time from 1000ms seconds to 60ms. Prior to hiring us, our client was about to have another company rewrite the entire application!
We developed custom integrations to help clients increase their organizational efficiency. We built new websites, developed landing pages, fixed bugs, and delivered on solutions that other agencies said were impossible.
We also introduced a new spin on our development retainers which allowed us to help more organizations, more consistently. One of our retainer clients, an international investment company, had this to say about the experience, “We made a lot of progress in each sprint, so much so that I needed to slow down our web development for the rest of the business to catch up!”
That sentiment has been echoed to us by a number of our retainer clients. The beauty of hiring us as a development agency instead of employing an internal developer is that we’re able to instantly scale up and scale down the development resources available to your organization — something that just isn’t possible with hiring internally. At least not without some really difficult conversations.
As I look forward to 2020 and beyond, I’m excited for what lies ahead for our agency. We’re continuing to grow in employee count and are currently interviewing a number of new designers and developers for upcoming projects. Not only are we growing in numbers, but we’re also growing in skillset.
We’re no longer just a WordPress agency. We’re a full-stack development agency that you can depend on throughout the life of your organization.
In fact, as our agency has grown we’ve realized that our current brand simply doesn’t reflect who we are. One of our big internal projects this year will be a rebrand of our agency. I can’t wait to reveal the new brand in the near future.
