Recently, Tatango (a leading SMS marketing provider) approached me to build them a new site with an updated look that incorporated their website and blog into WordPress. Using the mockups provided from their design team, I built a slick and agile theme based off of the Foundation framework.
Since one of the main objectives of the new site was to improve the ability of Tatango to manage their site I recommended that we include a page builder in the new theme. This allowed the maximum flexibility while still maintaining an intuitive interface.
I chose to fork the page builder from ThemeFoundry’s Make theme (one of my favorite WordPress themes) and customized it to work with Foundation and the various page layouts provided by Tatango. The end result was spectacular!
Tatango is very pleased with the result and is now able to build and customize their pages without any custom code. On the rare exceptions when the page builder does not support the layout they are trying to build, we are able to continue to build and expand to make it more flexible.
Scope of work:
- Create a new, responsive theme from provided mockups (used Foundation)
- Create page builder that allowed for quick and easy management with maximum flexibility
- Integrate with Wystia for videos
